We are enjoying the extra daylight and warmer temps; I just love this time of year!
The girls have been doing some incredible things over the past few weeks. It's amazing what limiting screen time + beautiful weather will inspire!
They created a library in our basement guestroom; they gathered a bunch of books and organized them by genre. They created a check out system on Google Drive complete with names and photos (of neighborhood kids!)
Audrey has been designing miniature rooms. They are so cute! She also loves sketching out fashion designs.
Abby has been writing in her diary a lot lately, just before she goes to bed. She's just the cutest. I love seeing her writing evolve. Honestly, we don't do much writing on a day to day basis. We'll have to make more of an effort to incorporate that next year.
A couple weeks ago they set up a snack stand with the neighborhood friends; all for charity! All the adults who drove by were SO supportive! It was just a wonderful experience for them.
This week they all came up with a proposal for an "A Team She Shed," and they presented it to Chris. I don't think I've ever seen him so proud! He surprised us all by agreeing to it! He's going to start the research, and the girls will be heavily involved with planning, building, and decorating :)
Soccer started last week! Abby had her first practice, which was so fun! Luckily her practices are right next to a playground, which is perfect for sweet Annie! Audrey starts practices this week; but it will be a little dicey since dance conflicts on one of the nights. She'll also miss 1 game due to competition.
They all have started listening to audiobooks as they fall asleep. Dork Diaries and Judy Blume are big faves. Speaking of Dork Diaries, all three are creating a musical from one of the books. I love seeing them working creatively together! Abigail has been reading this series non-stop; in the car, on her breaks from school, and before bed.
Audrey & Abby started piano lessons. They are loving it! A sweet lady at the place we take lessons gave us a little keyboard; we also bought a keyboard for them to practice on. Annie even tried writing her own music :)
I got a new ride, too :)
My favorite part of homeschooling is all the time we get to spend together. These are the good old days :)

Competition season is here! Our first, Groove, was an awesome experience! We had to wake up early (4 am!) and be there early (6:30 am!) It was relatively stress-free. Chris and Abby met us there around 8:00 and stayed all day until awards- around 4:00. The girls did a fantastic job, it's such a delight to see them on stage. 2 more competitions to go!

Their teacher is Ms. Sarah. They got to work with her back in the Fall for their Triple Threat class. She is so great with them. We also got to see her play the piano for CYT's Little Women, along with Audrey's BFF:
Abby has shown a major interest in learning Spanish. She's checked out books, audiobooks, and we signed her up for lesson on T4L/Rosetta Stone.
Abigail and Audrey both got new bikes!
I got a new ride, too :)
